How to Maintain CNC Machining Components?

2026-06-25 0 Leave me a message

The core objectives of maintaining CNC machined components are to prevent rust and corrosion, avoid collisions and deformation, maintain dimensional accuracy, and extend service life. Since CNC machined parts typically feature high precision, their maintenance must be carried out throughout the entire process, from the completion of machining to warehousing and eventual use.

Store all hardware clear of corrosive chemicals to avoid damage. Wipe its surface softly with a clean, dry soft cloth. Avoid chemical detergents or acidic cleaners entirely. These will ruin the surface coating and trigger rust and corrosion after long-term use.

Check fasteners on movable hardware such as hinges and sliding rails routinely. Tighten loose fittings right away to stop wobbling and excessive abrasion. Dab a thin layer of lubricant on these moving pieces; this keeps movement fluid and lengthens the product’s service life.

Clear dirt and debris off slide tracks regularly to prevent sticking. You may wipe tracks with a lightly damp cloth, then buff dry with a soft towel to leave no leftover moisture behind.

When a lock cylinder feels stiff while turning, scrape a little graphite powder off a pencil core. Blow the fine powder gently into the keyhole to lubricate internal lock parts. Don’t blow forcefully, as too much graphite will block the lock and create further faults.
